My name is Milva. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Currently, I live in Toronto, Canada.

 

My paintings are born from observation, intuition, and emotion. I am drawn to nature, faces, and quiet moments—those subtle expressions and landscapes that often go unnoticed, yet carry deep feeling.

 

What interests me most is not exact realism, but the atmosphere, the inner state, and the story behind what is seen. Through color, light, and texture, I seek to capture mood, presence, and authenticity.

Painting is, for me, a form of continuous learning and exploration. Each piece is a dialogue between control and spontaneity, between what is visible and what is felt. My work reflects a lifelong curiosity, sensitivity to detail, and a desire to connect—both with the subject and with the viewer.
